DENPASAR - Head of the Bali Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkum HAM) office, Jamaruli Manihuruk, welcomed the policy of opening visa-free visits for Southeast Asian (ASEAN) countries, including the expansion of visas on arrival (VoA) specifically for tourism to 43 countries.
This visa-free and visa-on-arrival policy will make it easier for foreign tourists to visit Bali.
"With this facility, it is hoped that it will increase the number of foreign tourists visiting Bali so that with more and more tourists coming to Bali, it will revive tourism and grow the Balinese economy," said Jamaruli, in Denpasar, Bali, Wednesday, April 6.
The same thing was conveyed by the Head of the Class I Immigration Office for TPI Ngurah Rai, I Nyoman Gede Surya Mataram. He ensured that the Ngurah Rai Immigration staff were ready to welcome back foreign tourists through I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport.
His party has implemented health protocols in the immigration inspection area such as distance signs in queues, inspection counters that have been given a barrier, hand sanitizers and officers equipped with masks, face shields, and gloves.
"With this new immigration policy, I am optimistic that Bali tourism can revive and improve the economy of the Balinese people," said Surya Mataram.
