Ganjar Pranowo Praised By KPK For Corruption Prevention

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) appreciates Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo for firmly giving instructions to the ranks of the provincial government regarding the prevention of corruption. Especially, between the government as a regulator and business actors.

This was conveyed by the Anti-Corruption Director of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Aminudin, during a hearing regarding the Regional Advocacy Committee (KAD) with Governor Ganjar Pranowo, in the Meeting Room of the Central Java Governor's Office, Tuesday, April 5.

Aminudin said Ganjar was the only regional head who dared to firmly instruct his staff regarding corruption prevention.

"The instructions are clear from the regional head, this is good. I really appreciate the direction and guidance of Pak Ganjar to staff in Central Java Province," said Aminudin.

He said that the perpetrators of corruption were not only state administrators. But there are also many entrepreneurs. For this reason, he came not only to convey the work program, but also to encourage the existence of KAD in Central Java.

He explained that the Regional Advocacy Committee is a forum for dialogue and discussion between business actors and regulators. The aim is to discuss or discuss issues, as well as related to preventing corruption in the business sector.

"In our opinion, the existence of KAD is very important in order to find solutions for business actors, when doing business they experience obstacles, in the context of the problem of corruption there," said Aminudin.

Aminudin is grateful that Ganjar has responded well, and is ready to sign a Governor's Decree regarding the formation of KAD in Central Java.

"I really appreciate the positive response from the Governor, and will immediately follow up on the issuance of the Governor's Decree related to KAD," he said.

Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo hopes that the presence of KAD in Central Java will bring better changes to development and provide benefits to the people in Central Java.

"We hope that this committee can later become a joint forum, can improve it, if the regulation is wrong, we will fix it, lest the SOP is wrong, we will fix it. If everything is open, their business will run well, the implementation is fair, and everything is so delicious," explained Ganjar.

Moreover, based on records from the KPK, said Ganjar, the business sector in the fields of infrastructure, health, oil and gas, food, and finance, is vulnerable to corruption. For this reason, Ganjar emphasized that the Governor's Decree on the Central Java KAD will soon be signed.

"For businessmen, if later we can use this committee, we hope that what is bad from the regulations, convey to us, we are ready to improve. But we also ask, please don't take bribes anymore, count them correctly so that the quality is good. An example of infrastructure, if the count is good, the quality is also good, right. If not, the community will suffer losses," he said.
