JAKARTA - After undergoing an examination, the bank robber Fatmawati BJB with the initials BS, admitted to doing the action because it was inspired by an action film. BS's confession was confirmed by the police.

South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto said, BS worked as HRD at a private bank, he carried out the robbery at BJB Fatmawati, South Jakarta, Tuesday, April 5, afternoon because it was inspired by an action film.

Until finally BS was arrested by BJB Bank security officers who were assisted by OB and Teller, Tuesday, April 5, if it was noon.

"(The perpetrator) was inspired by the film he watched. (Before taking action) the perpetrator had a survey in the morning where there were indeed several banks in the area besides the Regional Development Bank," Budhi told reporters at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Wednesday, April 6. .

Budhi explained that the incident began when the perpetrator who came to the crime scene (TKP) used a Daihatsu Xenia car. BS entered the BJB Bank and immediately pointed his air softgun.

"It was pointed at the staff as well as at the employees at the bank (BJB) with threats to lie down and to obey what the suspect wanted," he said.

However, one of the bank's security officers, F refused to follow orders from the perpetrators. So BS fires his gun at F.

"The suspect then got angry and fired the weapon he was carrying and it turned out that the explosion and the consequences of the shot were not a firearm," he said.

Knowing that the object brought by the perpetrator was not a firearm, F immediately fought and arrested the perpetrator along with OB and Teller.

"The security guard on behalf of F had the courage to fight against the suspect and arrest the perpetrator," he said.

Police who arrived at the scene conducted a search of the perpetrator. The result was found Air Softgun, folding knife to a stun tool.

"(Besides that) rope ties were also found. Then there was also a shock device (stun). All of which were carried by the perpetrator in the bag carried by the person concerned," he explained.

For his actions, the perpetrators were charged with Article 365 jo 53 and also the emergency law with a threat of 10 years.
