This PDIP Party Politician Affirms That Indonesia Is A Big Country So Don't Get Intervened Easily With Invitations For Russia At The G20

JAKARTA - PDI-P Party politician Budiman Sudjatmiko emphasized that Indonesia is a sovereign country. He did not want Indonesia to be intervened by other countries regarding Russia's presence at the G20 Summit.

"We have to show our attitude as a country that is historically big," Budiman said in his statement, Wednesday, April 6.

A number of countries, such as the United States and Canada, intervened in Indonesia not to invite Russia to the G20 summit. The request was submitted after Russia invaded Ukraine and there is no sign of ending.

As a large country leading the G20, Budiman said Indonesia could understand if other countries provided input on some of the current developments of the G20.

However, he said Indonesia should not consider it an intervention. Senbab, it can also be an input.

Furthermore, Budiman said that the Asia-Africa Conference that Indonesia held in the 1960s was proof that Indonesia had been involved in an international task or a big world task.

"And now we are experiencing it again. Of course we have to show our capabilities,” said Budiman.

For Indonesia, Budiman added that the G20 is not only to increase tourism because it is visited by foreign countries. But it further shows that Indonesia has a firm attitude towards the sustainability of the world economy.

"Frankly, I hope that with the G20 we reminisce about Indonesia's role as the number 4 population country in the world, we are able to take part in the international arena and this is our opportunity," said Budiman.

On the other hand, Budiman said Indonesia must pay attention to how this recover together recover stronger can really penetrate into all countries present.
