JAKARTA - The Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa, holds regular meetings with senior TNI officials from three dimensions to discuss the development of various cases involving TNI soldiers.

One of the topics discussed was the alleged involvement of TNI soldiers in the corruption case for the procurement of the 123° east longitude (BT) Orbit satellite project at the Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) in 2012-2021.

During the meeting, the Central Commander of the Military Police (Danpuspom) TNI Rear Admiral Nazali Lempo first explained to General Andika about the development of the case, which was estimated to cost the state Rp515.2 billion.

"Permission to report the progress of the satellite case. Yesterday, our team of investigators asked us to coordinate, the second meeting," said the Danpuspom TNI, quoted from General TNI Andika Perkasa's YouTube channel, Wednesday 6 April.

General Andika then asked to what extent in this case the formation of a connectivity investigator team was ordered by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin.

"The final status of the Attorney General's Office is the formation of a connectivity investigation team?" asked General Andika.

Danpuspom TNI said that the investigation team for the satellite case connection at the Ministry of Defense had been formed and consisted of the TNI Military Police Center (POM) and military prosecutors.

"It has been formed. The principals of the Attorney General's Office have held a coordination meeting. The Attorney General's Office has conducted investigations," he said.

"Only for the TNI, it needs to be deepened, regarding involvement," continued Danpuspom TNI.

General Andika asked to continue to provide developments regarding the case of the 123 East Longitude Orbit Satellite at the Ministry of Defense in 2012-2021. Including various cases involving TNI soldiers, both of which have been carried out in military courts and general courts.

"It's good, continue," said General Andika.

General Andika emphasized that he would continue to review the development of the case and was committed to investigating thoroughly according to applicable legal regulations.

"The TNI is committed to continuing to investigate connectivity with the Attorney General's Office regarding the alleged involvement of TNI soldiers in corruption cases in the procurement and lease of the Kemhan satellite," he said.

In a routine meeting chaired by General Andika, the ranks of the Central Commander of the TNI Military Police from the three dimensions were also present, as well as investigators and the ranks of the TNI's Prosecutor General.
