Circulating At Night, 10 Teens Carrying Sarongs Filled With Stone Seized By Police

TANGERANG - Tangerang City Police (Polresta) officers, Banten Police arrested 10 teenagers who were about to do a brawl in the Tigaraksa area on Wednesday morning, April 6.

Tangerang Police Chief Kombes Pol Zain Dwi Nugroho said the 10 teenagers were detained in the Katomas, Sodong, and Tapos Tigaraksa areas.

"While carrying out a mobile patrol, the personnel found a group of teenagers who were carrying out brawls and sarong wars in several locations, namely in the Katomas, Sodong, and Tapos areas," he also said.

He explained that his party did not know for sure the motives of the teenagers who wanted to do the brawl.

However, he said, at the time of security, a number of evidences were found in the form of a modified sarong tied with a knot at the end of the sheath containing the stone.

With that, the police officers suspected that the teenagers would do a brawl that disturbed the local residents.

"Personnel then secured 10 teenagers and took them to the Tigaraksa Police Headquarters to be given guidance. The teenagers were then recorded and asked for further information," he said again.

He said that in the future his party will provide guidance to the juveniles who have been detained in order to anticipate the recurrence of brawls.

"Furthermore, it will be called and handed over to the parents to make a statement so that they will not repeat the act," said Zain.

He revealed, to anticipate the occurrence of brawls and other crimes, his party will also continue to intensify patrols in a number of vulnerable locations.
