Unlicensed Advertisements In Palu Ordered To Sabet Adipura 2023

PALU - Joint officers from the Palu City Government (Pemkot), Central Sulawesi Province, have curbed illegal billboards in a number of locations. This effort is also in line with the Palu City Government's intention to win the Adipura 2023 award.

"This policy was taken because currently there is an increasing number of haphazardly installing billboards so that billboards that violate regulations need to be brought under control," said Palu Mayor Hadianto Rasyid in Palu, Tuesday, April 5.

He explained that the Palu City Government has determined the rules for placing advertisements for commercial purposes for users of advertisement media services through the Palu Mayor Regulation Number 18 of 2012 concerning the Implementation of Billboards because if the installation is not in accordance with the provisions, it will disrupt the aesthetic value of urban areas.

Therefore, before the Environmental Service (DLH) and the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) take steps to control it, the advertising service provider or advertising company must first regulate all billboards that do not comply with the provisions and layout that have been set.

"If the service owner is unable to carry out this appeal, then the relevant agencies will then take concrete steps, including the imposition of sanctions in accordance with applicable regulations," Hadianto said, as reported by Antara.

The Palu City Government in implementing the policy aims to create beauty, provide security, and comfort for residents to move without any things that have the potential to endanger lives.

"We want this city to be orderly. To achieve that, of course, this city must be friendly, especially the Palu City Government wants to create a clean and healthy urban environment with the determination to win the Adipura 2023 award from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLH)," said Hadianto.
