Submit PAW, PSI Hope DPRD Chairperson Immediately "Depak" Viani Limardi From Council Members

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta PSI DPW Michael Victor Sianipar asked the chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD to immediately process the interim replacement (PAW) for members of the PSI faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

Currently, PSI has dismissed Viani Limardi from its faction member. The PAW submission letter has been submitted to the DPRD leadership. The latest news is that the Chairman of the DKI DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, has also forwarded the PAW letter to the DKI Jakarta KPU at the end of last year.

However, at that time the PAW process was still hampered by disputes in court. Viani filed a lawsuit amounting to Rp1 trillion to PSI at the Central Jakarta District Court (PN Jakpus). However, in the end the lawsuit was rejected.

Thus, Michael asked the leadership of the DKI Jakarta DPRD to issue the right decision. According to him, the process of interim replacement of DPRD DKI Jakarta members should have been implemented.

"The PAW letter is still hanging in the DKI DPRD. With this court decision, I don't think there is any reason for delay. We are waiting for the right decision from the leadership of the DKI Jakarta DPRD," Michael said in his statement, Tuesday, April 5.

Michael hopes that Viani will soon be replaced with a new candidate for the PSI faction member of the DKI DPRD. Viani's replacement was Cornelis Hotman, who had the most votes after him in the III electoral district.

Michael said he was ready to discuss if needed by the leadership of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. According to him, all parties certainly want each party to contribute optimally.

"We are ready to discuss the stages, referring to the laws and regulations and our rights as a political party according to the law. We believe that a good DPRD leader will issue good decisions for the citizens of DKI Jakarta," he added.

As is known, Viani has been fired from PSI cadres through a letter of dismissal issued on September 25, 2021. As of October 14, 2021, PSI has officially sent a letter of application for PSI as a member of the DKI DPRD.

Along with this, Viani sued PSI to the Central Jakarta District Court on October 19, 2021. This lawsuit was filed by Viani because she felt that the reason for PSI's dismissal was incorrect. Viani denied that he had inflated his recess funds while he was a member of the council. This accusation made him fired as a cadre.

Until finally, the Central Jakarta District Court issued an interim decision rejecting Viani Limardi's lawsuit demanding Rp1 trillion from PSI due to his dismissal as a party cadre.

In the interim decision, PSI's absolute competence exception was accepted by the Central Jakarta District Court, with the consideration that there was no initial evidence of dispute resolution through the Party Court by Viani as the plaintiff.
