TANGERANG - The police have arrested two perpetrators with the initials AS and MM on suspicion of raping a woman with the initials SJ (17) in Lontar Village, Mauk, Tangerang Regency.

The Head of Tangerang Regency Police, Kombes Zain Nugroho, said that there were 4 perpetrators, 2 were arrested while 2 of his friends, R and A, were on a wanted list (DPO) and were being chased by police officers.

"We have arrested the two perpetrators and the other two are still being chased," said Zain when confirmed, Monday, April 4.

Zain explained that the incident began when the victim and one of the perpetrators, namely the US, met on social media in 2021. From social media, the two continued to meet. The victim, said Zain, was invited by the US to go to his house.

However, when they arrived at the US house, it turned out that there were MM, R, and A who were having a drinking party. The victim was immediately invited to join.

Initially the victim refused to join, but was threatened by the US that he would not be sent home. The victim was finally joined to drink it until unconscious.

"The victim didn't want to at first, then was threatened not to be brought home, until finally the victim wanted to. There, the victim was force-fed with liquor until he was unconscious," he explained.

Because the victim was unconscious, the 4 perpetrators took the victim into the room. In that place the victim was rotated by four perpetrators.

"This victim was not aware that she was raped, until finally she was brought home by the perpetrator," said Zain.

Entering January 2022, the victim felt something strange in his body. So, he decided to have his body checked at the hospital.

"From there, the victim was declared 6 months pregnant, the victim told her parents about it," he said.

Knowing this, the victim and her parents reported the incident to the Mauk Police. Until finally found two of the four perpetrators of the rape.

Now they must be held accountable for their actions, the perpetrators are charged with Article 81 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.

"The perpetrator faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison," he concluded.
