School Brawl In Sukabumi Brings Victims, Police Immediately Gather Students And Parents

JAKARTA - Citamiang Police from Sukabumi Resort, conducts guidance and provides direction to high school students and their parents to prevent brawls between students.

"The guidance regarding the prevention of brawls between students that we are doing is deliberately inviting parents to be more effective," said Citamiang Police Chief, AKP Arif Saftaraharja on the sidelines of a coaching program for students in the hall of SMAN 3 Sukabumi City, Monday, April 4.

According to Arif, cases of brawls between students still occur in the Sukabumi City area, even recently a student was killed in a brawl. Therefore, his party deliberately made this activity to provide direction to students, especially parents, so that in the future there will be no more cases of brawls.

"The need for cooperation between the school, the police, and parents of students is a form of responsibility because there are still students involved in brawls. In addition, the role of parents is very important in supervising their children, especially during school hours.

The police promise not to hesitate to give sanctions to anyone who is involved in the brawl. Especially if there are students who are caught carrying sharp weapons to carry out mistreatment, either until the victim is injured or even dies.

"Supervision is not only carried out by the police and schools, but every parent must also be responsible for the activities of their children both when entering and leaving school," said AKP Arif as quoted by Antara.

Arif said that although the students at his school had never been involved in a brawl, the school had to routinely provide guidance, both ethical and religious learning to students.

As in this activity, students are expected to be able to understand the material presented by the police and parents will also be more strict in supervising their children, especially during school hours.
