National Police Chief General Sigit Calls One Of The Causes Of Oil Scarcity The Repacking Mode Of Bulk Oil Becomes Premium

JAKARTA - The National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said the many modes of repackaging or repacking bulk oil into packaging are one of the causes of the scarcity of cooking oil. Because, many new brands that suddenly appear in the community.

The mode was found based on the results of monitoring by the Police and the Ministry of Industry. The fraudulent way of repackaging bulk oil into packaging is solely to gain big profits.

"Earlier, the Minister conveyed the modes of repacking or repackaging, currently there are many new types of brands that have not been available in the market so far," General Listyo Sigit told reporters, Monday, April 4.

The police chief said that he would take firm action against this modus operandi. This is because many people use this method by converting bulk oil into premium packaging.

"We are monitoring the shift from bulk demand to industry. We will also take firm action," he said. Then, this four-star general will also take action against individuals who play by falsifying documents. Thus, the availability of cooking oil in the market is safe.

"We will take firm action against falsifying documents so that we then get paid subsidies that are not in accordance with the reality of this production, so we want to make sure everything goes well," said Sigit.

The National Police and the Ministry of Industry will form a special task force. They will crack down on all cheating.

"To ensure availability in the market really exists, we together with the Minister of Industry have formed a joint task force, where we place this joint task force starting at the central level, the producers, and at the head office," said Sigit.
