MUKOMUKOI - The Mukomuko Police, Bengkulu Police have denied accusations by local government officials that their members 'take the opportunity in a pinch' to conduct raids when residents carry out the Balinese tradition of bathing and buying takjil to welcome Ramadan.

"We never had any intention of disturbing or prohibiting the course of cultural traditions during the fasting month and it can be proven yesterday that the Balimau bathing activity was still going on," Head of Traffic AKP Fery Oktaviari Pratama in his statement at Mukomuko, Antara, Sunday, April 3.

Unscrupulous officials in the Mukomuko government previously posted on their Facebook account about the Mukomuko Police Traffic Unit raids during the balimau bath tradition and buying takjil. The official wrote that the local police took advantage of the tightness of the raid.
