JAKARTA - The quality of education in Indonesia is currently not evenly distributed, especially the quality between education in West Indonesia and Central and East Indonesia. IPEKA Christian School recognizes the high need for quality schools, especially in the Central and Eastern Indonesia regions.

This is because quality schools play an important role as a means of preparing young people who have excellent academic abilities and character. IPEKA demonstrated its commitment by building the IPEKA Center Point of Indonesia (CPI) as a form of contribution to take part in advancing Indonesia through education.

After previously IPEKA Makassar Christian School was present since 1998, IPEKA CPI is expected to be able to provide more quality school choices in the city of Makassar. This commitment was marked by the groundbreaking procession on April 1, 2022, the IPEKA CPI in the city of Makassar officially began construction.

This procession was attended by the General Chairperson of the GKY Synod, Pdt. Yohanes Adrie, Chair of the IPEKA Foundation, Erwin Tenggono, and IPEKA's President Director of Operations, Pdt. Handojo. With the start of this construction, the IPEKA CPI building is estimated to be completed in May 2023.

IPEKA CPI is prepared to implement an international standard curriculum that prioritizes technology-based education and literacy. At IPEKA CPI, teachers or educators must have a standard ability to teach in English, and have good digital skills. In addition, teachers must also have good spirituality, because at IPEKA teachers must be able to guide their students in all aspects and be role models for them.

“To support the smooth teaching and learning process at IPEKA CPI, we have prepared the teachers and leaders who serve at IPEKA CPI before the school operates. Teachers will be provided with trainings that can complement their ability to apply learning at IPEKA CPI,” said IPEKA's President Director of Operations, Pdt. Handojo.

IPEKA CPI is located in CitraLand City Losari Makassar. The choice of location is strategic because it is located in front of Losari Beach and downtown Makassar. The development of this area is part of the vision of a new area called “The Center Point of Indonesia.” CitraLand City Losari Makassar will also become the center of a new economic growth center and the economic center of the city of Makassar which is currently growing rapidly.

IPEKA CPI Christian School will serve starting from the Nursery (Play Group) level to SMA which will be opened in stages. New Student Admissions are planned to begin in September 2022. For 2023, IPEKA CPI will start service in stages by opening the Nursery, Kindergarten, Middle and High School levels.

The curriculum used at IPEKA CPI Christian School is an international standard curriculum that is adapted to promote technology-based education and literacy. The learning process uses digital technology a lot by using a chromebook as the main medium of learning. The face-to-face process in class is also more focused on interactive classes to develop 21st century skills for students, namely: Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity through discussion, debate, and so on.

"We hope that with the presence of IPEKA CPI in the city of Makassar, IPEKA can become a partner for parents in preparing their children's future according to their potential and passion, so that in the future they can become useful people for the progress of Indonesia and glorify God," closed Pdt. Handojo.
