Fire In One Rented House In Depok Kills Father And Son, Source Of Fire Is Suspected To Be Mosquito Repellent

DEPOK - A rented house on Jalan Mushola Al Mardhotilah, Limo, Depok has been burned down. In that incident three people became victims, two of them, namely the father and son died.

Head of Operational Control of the Depok City Fire and Rescue Service, Welman Naipospos, said the incident took place on Saturday, April 2, at 23.08 WIB. The new fire was tamed around 23.30 WIB.

He added that as many as three units of fire extinguishers were deployed, namely from UPT Cinere and UPT Bojong Sari.

“(In the incident) the father and son were sleeping and died. Meanwhile, his mother, who was still alive in the kitchen, was taken to the hospital," he added.

Welman suspects the fire came from the mosquito coil that was in the bedroom. This was known after his party checked the location.

“We initially thought that it was in the kitchen, but after checking, the kitchen was neat. there is no gas stove exploded, the electric check is also neat. we think that the mosquito coil was caught on fire, because there was a fire in the bedroom. But to be sure, just ask the police later," he explained.

The incident resulted in an estimated loss of tens of millions of rupiah. Because there are motorbikes in the rental.

"Tens of millions, because there is one motorbike, but it's more definitely the police, because we don't know whether there's gold or something inside," he said.
