CIANJUR - The Cianjur Regency Government, West Java, has threatened to revoke the operating permit for a nightclub that operates during the fasting month because it is prohibited based on a joint decision of the Cianjur Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).

"During the fasting month, night entertainment venues are prohibited from operating. If anyone is stubborn, please report it and we will impose a license revocation," said Cianjur Regent, Herman Suherman, quoted by Antara, Friday, April 1.

His party has issued circulars to a number of places that are prohibited from opening or operating during the fasting month, including that restaurants may only serve buyers before the time of breaking the fast.

Including alerting a joint team consisting of related agencies and the Cianjur Satpol PP, to conduct patrols to entertainment venues and crowd centers in Cianjur, to ensure all managers comply with the prohibition during the fasting month to not operate.

"For supervision, we involve the community when they find a nightclub or restaurant that violates them, they can report it so that strict action is taken immediately," he said.

The revocation of operational licenses is valid forever, not only during the fasting month. Even his party hopes that after the fasting month, there will be no more permits for night entertainment venues.

"We will no longer issue operational permits for night entertainment venues, especially those that violate the rules during the month. We hope that all residents who are fasting can carry out their worship in peace without being disturbed by activities that can damage the sanctity of fasting," he said.
