JAKARTA - The Secretariat of the DKI Jakarta DPRD confirmed that the procurement of official clothes with a budget of around Rp. 1.7 billion did not violate the rules and was in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 18 of 2017 concerning Financial and Administrative Rights of DPRD Leaders and Members.

Secretary of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Firmansyah, said in Article 12 of the PP, it was explained that the official clothes and attributes of the Leaders and Members of the DPRD each year receive five sets.

The five sets consisted of two daily civilian attire, one official civil attire, one long-sleeved daily service attire and one regional-specific clothing.

"I explained that this Rp1.7 billion is for 106 members and board leaders, and each of them gets five sets," he said, quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 31.

He also ensured that there was no increase in the budget from the previous year, even that the budget had been planned and inputted into e-budgeting.

"Speaking of the budget figure, it is already in the 'budgeting'. We will pour it out because it is already in the planning," he said.

Firmansyah detailed the price of each of the official clothes, including Rp. 4.9 million for two daily civilian clothes, Rp. 2.7 million for one long-sleeved daily official dress, Rp. 3.6 million for one official civil suit and Rp. 3.6 million for regional clothing.

"That includes the cost of sewing. While the material for his official clothes uses wool," he said.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government prepared a budget ceiling of IDR 1.74 billion for the procurement of official clothing and attributes for the leaders and members of the DKI DPRD in 2022 using an auction mechanism.

Meanwhile, previously the chairman of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, admitted that he did not know about the official clothing budget for this year's DPRD members, which amounted to Rp. 1.7 billion.

"We don't know what Rp1.7 billion is for. We have to ask the setwan (council secretariat), what the budget allocation is for," said Gembong Warsono, chairman of the PDI-P faction at the DPR DKI Jakarta when contacted in Jakarta, Wednesday (30/3). ).

Furthermore, Gembong said that related to the budget issue that was allocated for the official uniforms of the members of the council, it was the secretariat of the council (setwan) who knew better.
