Nurses And Midwives At Bengkulu Tengah Hospital Compact Selling Abortion Drugs, 7 Misoprostol Drugs Are Evidence

BENGKULU - The Macan Gading Opsnal Team of the Bengkulu Resort Police (Polres) and members of the Tipiter unit arrested the perpetrator suspected of selling an abortion drug with the initials KD (27).

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Bengkulu Police, AKP Welliwanto Malau, said the perpetrator worked as a nurse and was registered as a resident from Central Bengkulu Regency.

"The team has arrested the perpetrator at an inn in Sukamerindu Village, Sungai Serut District, Bengkulu City," said Malau in Bengkulu, Antara, Thursday, March 31.

The arrests began when the opsnal team conducted an investigation into the circulation or sale of hard drugs for abortion by a nurse in Bengkulu City.

Then the team received information that the perpetrator and two of his friends as well as evidence in the form of drugs for an abortion were found in one of the inns in Bengkulu.

Malau continued, based on the information from the KD perpetrator, the drug was obtained from a midwife who worked at the Bengkulu Tengah hospital and immediately arrested midwife E.

Upon the arrest, his party confiscated evidence in the form of seven pills of misoprostol 200mcg, 40 spet brand One Med, two Wing Needie, three Hansaplast brand Ultra fix.

Then two gubing, one white infusion tongs, one bottle of pro injection brand alcohol, one vitamin neuroson.

One family planning drug (KB) brand of Andason, one bottle of phytokine oxytocin, three white gloves, two mobile phones, one car and Rp 2.1 million in cash.

For his actions, the perpetrators are threatened with Article 196 junto 197 of Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health and Law Number 36 of 2014 concerning Health Workers with a maximum imprisonment of 15 years.
