TANGSEL - Information is circulating regarding a shooting with a firearm at Serpong Station, South Tangerang. The news made KAI Commuter speak up.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Anne Purba confirmed the incident. However, he claimed that the incident was a form of vandalism in the form of throwing.

Now his party is investigating the alleged shooting at the KRL Seprong Station.

"While the indications are still being investigated by the security team," said Anne when confirmed, VOI, Wednesday, March 30.

Anne explained that the incident occurred on KRL 2138 on the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung connection, crossing Palmerah Station-Kebayoran Station, Wednesday, March 30, at 19:45 WIB.

He explained the vandalism of KRL facilities by irresponsible people. As a result of the incident the window on the 5th train from the front cracked and had holes.

"KRL Guards and On Train Cleaning Officers swiftly cleaned up the glass shards caused by the vandalism, as well as guarded and closed the cracked and perforated windows with curtains throughout the KRL journey," explained Anne.

He confirmed that there were no casualties in the incident. However, the KRL 2138 trip was stopped at Serpong Station.

"KRL 2138 continues its journey to Rangkasbitung Station and returns only to Serpong Station

"There were no victims in this incident. The KRL 2138 journey continues to go to Rangkasbitung Station and returns only to Serpong Station. (Because) window glass repairs need to be made,” he explained.

Anne appealed to the public, especially KRL users, to maintain security in order to participate in the anti-vandalism movement.

"To maintain the safety of train travel and fully support the anti-vandalism movement against railway facilities and infrastructure," he said.
