Budget For Council Members' Service Clothing Rp. 1.7 Billion, DKI DPRD: We Only Accept It, Suddenly A Handyman Comes

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has budgeted for the procurement of official clothing and DPRD attributes worth Rp. 1,746,645,560 (Rp 1.7 billion) in the DKI Regional Budget for the 2022 budget year. This budget is included in the work unit of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Secretariat.

Member of Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, admitted that the council members were not involved in preparing the budget for their official attire and civilian clothes. This, said Gembong, was regulated by the DPRD Secretariat.

"We just received it. We didn't understand because suddenly a measurer (clothing) arrived, a few weeks later we were delivered the goods," said Gembong when contacted, Wednesday, March 30.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Mujiyono, revealed that the procurement of official clothing for council members is in accordance with regulations, namely Government Regulation Number 18 of 2017 concerning Financial and Administrative Rights of DPRD Members.

"The five pieces (clothing) are in accordance with PP No. 18 of 2017," said Mujiyono.

The details of the procurement include a budget ceiling of Rp1.32 billion for official and daily clothes, as well as regional specialties of Rp423.32 million for each leader and member of the DKI DPRD.

In the procurement of official clothing for the leadership and council members, 212 sets of daily civilian clothes were procured with a total budget of Rp. 582 million, 106 sets of daily official clothes with a total budget of Rp. 316 million, and 106 sets of official civilian clothes with a total budget of Rp. 423 million. This budget includes purchases, sewing costs, and taxes.

Then, there is a budget for laboratory analysis services for 3 samples with a total budget of Rp. 1.3 million.

Furthermore, there is the procurement of regional specialties made of wool as many as 106 sets with a total budget of IDR 423 million including taxes. So, each DPRD member will get 5 sets of clothes this year.

This procurement is carried out through a tender with a contract implementation schedule and provider selection in May 2022, utilization of goods and services in June 2022, and ending in December 2022.
