PALANGKA RAYA - The Polresta of Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, will increase security patrols in a number of places in the area during the holy month of Ramadan.

Head of the Palangka Raya Police Samapta Unit, AKP Gatoot Sisworo, said that security patrols would be increased, namely in residential complex areas, houses of worship, namely mosques and places prone to crime.

"The purpose of this patrol is to prevent crime, such as stealing an empty house when the owner leaves tarawih to the mosque, maintaining the security of houses of worship and so on, so that Muslims who carry out worship run smoothly and comfortably," Gatoot said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, 29 March.

Not only will night patrols be increased, strict security will also be carried out at dawn. At dawn that day, continued Gatoot, there were several points on the road that might be used as a place for illegal racing by a group of young people. Of course, this activity can also be dangerous for other road users.

"We will anticipate this in advance, because it is possible that illegal racing can occur at any time. Therefore, we must anticipate before negative things happen," he said.

Gatoot also emphasized that appeals related to matters that had been prepared by the Palangka Raya Police Samapta Unit would also be intensified to the public.

This is done, as long as Muslims carry out their worship in the holy month of Ramadan, it can run smoothly and there are no disturbances, according to mutual wishes.

"Hopefully what we want is realized well, so that Muslims in carrying out their worship in this blessed month can walk solemnly," he said.

He added, ahead of the month of Ramadan, which is only a matter of days away, his staff is aggressively carrying out patrols and security in the jurisdiction of the local Polresta.

One of them is maintaining security in vital objects such as banking, offices and so on.
