Sandiaga Uno Lightens The Economic Burden Of Residents Through The Lalap Catfish Skipper Program

JAKARTA - The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, together with training startups Rumah Ready to Work (RSK) and Rumah SandiUno Indonesia (RSI) provide education to residents to open a fish farming business in buckets (budikdamber).

"Today, I am really happy to be able to come to RW 01, in the Pesanggrahan village for the entrepreneurship learning program to become a Lele Lalap skipper," said Sandiaga in a written statement, Tuesday, March 29.

Sandiaga hopes that the Lele Lalap skipper program can help the residents' difficulties. Especially during this COVID-19 pandemic.

"As we know the economy is currently entering a transformation due to the pandemic, many have lost their jobs, many have reduced income, finally with the burden of living costs increasing, they need additional income," he said.

Furthermore, Sandiaga said that currently the government is focusing on economic revival. He continued, all programs must be right on target, with the right benefits, and on time.

"We have to ensure business opportunities and job opportunities by learning entrepreneurship," said Sandiaga.

On the other hand, Sandiaga asked all parties not to be fixated on a number of issues, such as the increase in the price of basic commodities. However, Sandiaga wants everyone to present a solution to the existing problems.

"So we side with MSMEs and also present a solution. So if the prices of basic commodities are expensive, don't complain, but instead we present a solution," he said.

Sandiaga also appreciated one of the frozen catfish and catering SMEs activists, Mrs. Haryati. This is because the owner of D'Shafa has also employed dozens of women.

"This is a practical entrepreneurship learning program, and there is already an example, namely Mrs. Haryati. Now 50 women have created job opportunities," explained Sandiaga.

On this occasion, Sandiaga provided assistance with 200 buckets, 10,000 catfish seeds, up to 1,600 water spinach planting holes and seeds. In addition, in this program, the SSR training startup also provides assistance until the harvest period.
