Military Commander Appreciates TNI Soldiers Bringing Seeds From Outside Papua For Sorong Residents

SORONG - Pangdam XVIII Cassowary Maj. Gen. Gabriel Lema appreciated Babinsa's work in the Korem 181/PVT Sorong area which helped the community in the agricultural sector. The TNI soldiers brought seeds from outside Papua for the people in Sorong.

"I am touched to hear the report from Babinsa in the Sorong area which helps the community in agriculture and even brings seeds from outside Papua. This is real life and a fact that TNI soldiers are present to answer the community's difficulties," said TNI Major General Gabriel Lema during a working visit at Korem 181/PVT Sorong , Tuesday 29 March.

He said this must be maintained by regional unit soldiers because the daily orders of the Army Chief of Staff for soldiers must be present in the community to see the potential that can be used to help the difficulties faced by the community.

According to him, TNI AD soldiers help the government in their working area to see what obstacles are faced by the community and help and answer the difficulties they face.

"I have conveyed to the soldiers of Korem 181/PVT Sorong that we are soldiers selected by the State so we must improve ourselves internally and then enter the community and declare that we are selected soldiers to help the difficulties faced by the community," he said.

There are two things that the Commander of the XVIII Cassowary Commander, Maj. Gen. Gabriel Lema, emphasized during a working visit to Korem 181/PVT Sorong. The first was to expect the regional unit commander of the XVIII Kasuari Kodam to continue to develop the unit internally.

Second, to continuously carry out social communication or Komsos with all elements of society and local governments in order to realize the main task of maintaining the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia.

In addition to the task of maintaining the nation's sovereignty, he added, TNI soldiers must also carry out social services in the community, especially helping to ease the burden on the community so that the TNI is increasingly loved by the people.
