PANDEGLANG - In order to face the month of Ramadan, the Pandeglang Police are aggressively carrying out Operation Bina Kusuma Maung 2022 with the target of raiding liquor (alcohol) in a number of locations, Sunday, March 27.

Meanwhile, Pandeglang Police Chief AKBP Belny Warlansyah said the Pandeglang Police alone managed to confiscate 480 bottles of alcohol.

"Through the implementation of the Operation Bina Kusuma Maung 2022 and reports from the public regarding the circulation of alcohol, the Satreskrim of the Pandeglang Police and the Sector Police of the ranks then carried out an investigation, and it is true that 554 bottles of alcohol were secured," said Belny Warlansyah, in a written statement, Sunday, March 27.

Belny said that the target of the 2022 Bina Kusuma Maung Operation was to minimize disturbances to public security and order (Kamtibmas), especially in the jurisdiction of the Pandeglang Police.

"This operation is carried out to minimize various disturbances in the Kamtibmas with the aim of enforcing the law against the circulation of liquor, especially now that it is approaching the holy month of Ramadan," said Belny Warlansyah.

Belny added that the perpetrators who were found to be circulating alcohol would be subject to data collection, guidance and evidence and the perpetrators were secured at the Pandeglang Police Station.

"We appeal to the public not to sell liquor, especially illegal drugs, if it is found that people are selling us they will take strict action in accordance with applicable law," said Belny.

"According to the instructions of the Banten Police Chief, to maintain the conduciveness of residents who will fast during the holy month of Ramadan, the Pandeglang Police are proactive in conducting raids and operations on various targets, such as sharp weapons, street crimes, including alcohol," concluded Belny.
