JAKARTA - The Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) has officially fired the former Minister of Health, dr. Terawan Agus Putranto from IDI membership. The dismissal was based on the decision of the 31st IDI Banda Aceh Congress, Friday, March 25. The implementation will be carried out no later than 28 working days. Doctor Terawan is considered to have committed a serious ethical violation. According to the certificate obtained by the editor, Dr. Terawan has not submitted evidence of having carried out ethical sanctions according to the MKEK Decree issued on February 12, 2018. Another reason is that Dr. Terawan has promoted to the public about the Nusantara vaccine before the research is completed. The next reason, Dr. Terawan became Chair of the Association of Clinical Radiology Specialists (PDSRKI), which was formed without going through the procedures set by IDI. The next reason is to issue a Circular on December 11, 2021 in the form of instructions so that all branch heads of PDSKRI members throughout Indonesia do not respond to or attend PB IDI events.
