Collision Of PJU Light Pole In Duren Sawit, Toyota Rush Driver Examined By East Jakarta Traffic Unit: Must Pay Compensation

JAKARTA - Head of the Traffic Unit (Kasatlantas) of the East Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Edy Surasa ensured that his party would hold accountable vehicles involved in accidents and damaging public facilities in the Duren Sawit area, East Jakarta.

"Car drivers are still being asked for information regarding the accident that damaged public facilities. Someone must be held accountable," said AKBP Edy when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, March 27.

Meanwhile, the Head of Laka Satlantas of the East Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Seno Wibowo, added that the driver of the Toyota Rush car numbered B 2763 TRQ will be asked to pay compensation for the damage to the electricity pole for the public street lighting lamp (PJU) which collapsed after being hit.

"If the local government has not paid the loss of assets, then the car has not been handed over to the owner (still confiscated)," said Iptu Seno.

The obligation to pay for the damage has been conveyed by the East Jakarta Metro Police Laka Unit to the car driver when the crime scene was carried out (TKP). In addition, the East Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit has also coordinated with the East Jakarta City Government regarding the damage to the PJU lights.

Previously, a traffic accident occurred on Jalan RS Soekanto, Malaka Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta on Saturday, March 26, yesterday.

The accident was caused by slippery road conditions when it rained in the area. The driver of the car drove towards Pondok Kopi.

As a result of the accident, the car driven by EGR suddenly swayed until it hit the PJU lamp post, collapsing and hitting the Toyota Rush.

The driver of the car admitted to avoiding the presence of road users so that he was shocked and hit the PJU pole.
