Meutya Hafid: Airlangga Hartarto's Performance Is Good, It's Not Difficult For Golkar To Win The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Media and Opinion-Gaining Sector (MPO) of the Golkar Party, Meutya Hafid, said that it should not be too difficult for Golkar to win the 2024 General Election. This is because Golkar General Chair Airlangga Hartarto has worked hard for the community, both in the economic and health fields.

"So far, our General Chair has produced many programs to help people affected by the pandemic. For example, encouraging MSME businesses, People's Business Credit (KUR), Pre-Employment Cards, and others. Pak Airlangga has also shown his ability to control the pandemic," said Meutya, who is also the Chairman of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives, when opening the Rakorda for the MPO Sector of the Golkar Party DPD Level I Aceh, virtually, Saturday, March 26.

Meutya also stated that the various achievements of the General Chair of Golkar, especially in his capacity as Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Chair of the Covid-19 Handling Committee and National Economic Recovery (KPCPEN) must be conveyed to the public by all Golkar party cadres.

Meutya reminded that so far Golkar has had advantages in the war of opinion on the ground. However, to win maximum opinion and win the 2024 election, it must be accompanied by a war of opinion in cyberspace.

"It's a shame if we don't maximize the function of social media in conducting opinion wars. Because we can use social media for free,” said Meutya.

In line with Meutya, previously the Chairperson of Aceh's Level I Golkar DPD, Teuku Muhammad Nurlif also said that Golkar has a great chance to win the 2024 General Election and at the same time win Airlangga Hartarto in the presidential election.

Airlangga Hartarto has done many things for Indonesia. “The problem is how we win public opinion. For that, we all have to work hard. We must be able to maximize social media to gain public sympathy," said Nurlif.

To that end, Teuku Nurlif asked all DPD Golkar to record various community problems in each region. According to Nurlif, it is very unfortunate if the achievements of the General Chair of Golkar are not managed optimally.

"Currently the pandemic is getting down and the economy is starting to improve. If things get more normal, then the Indonesian nation must be led by someone who has experience in saving us all from the crisis that befell all countries in the world. And that figure is the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Mr. Airlangga Hartarto," he said.

On the same occasion, the Chairperson of the Aceh Golkar MPO, Khalid M.Pd reported the presence of the Rakorda participants consisting of representatives of the MPO in level II regions, mass organizations that gave birth to or formed the Golkar Party, members of the Golkar faction, and a number of Golkar wing organizations.

According to Khalid, this coordination meeting is intended to maximize the work of the MPO in increasing the popularity and electability of the Golkar Party and General Chair Airlangga Hartarto.

"We hope that the work of the MPO can socialize, both the work of the party, the presidential candidate for the Golkar Party, Mr. Airlangga Hartarto and members of the DPR/DPRD Golkar. All that work must be published massively so that it is known to the public. The ultimate goal is for Golkar to win the Pilkada, Pilleg, and Presidential elections," he said.
