GARUT - Acceleration of COVID-19 vaccination in Garut will continue to be carried out during Ramadan 2022. The Garut Regency Health Office (Dinkes) admits that it is ready to deploy a vaccination team for the public, including in Islamic boarding schools.

In addition to the general public, he said, Islamic boarding schools who want to be vaccinated with doses 1, 2, or 3 during Ramadan will be ready to be served by a team of vaccinators.

"It can be (vaccinated) if they (Islamic boarding schools) are willing," he said.

He said the achievement of COVID-19 vaccination for dose 1 was above 90 percent, currently it will continue to be boosted at dose 2, then dose 3 or booster which is currently still low at 4.8 percent.

"It is prioritized to start to 'booster' if indeed dose 2 is more than 70 percent," he said.

One of the Islamic boarding schools in Garut that carries out mass vaccinations before Ramadan is the Nurul Huda Cibojong Islamic Boarding School in Cisurupan District, Garut, on Thursday, March 24.

A number of students and female students, teachers, and kiai from Islamic boarding schools in Cisurupan District received the COVID-19 vaccine for doses 1, 2, or 3 or boosters.
