JAKARTA - The Yogyakarta City Government will conduct a review of teaching and learning activities in its area. If possible, it will immediately implement face-to-face learning (PTM) with full capacity.

"While this is still being carried out with a limited capacity of 50 percent. Of course it will be evaluated along with the reduction of PPKM to level 3," said Yogyakarta Deputy Mayor Heroe Poerwadi in Yogyakarta, Friday, March 25.

According to him, the evaluation of face-to-face learning will be carried out at all levels of education starting from kindergarten, elementary, and junior high school.

If all evaluation indicators show a good assessment and allow face-to-face learning to be held with a greater or full capacity, it will be implemented.

In addition to the condition of the COVID-19 case, another indicator that needs to be used as an assessment material is the readiness of schools related to standards for implementing health protocols, supporting facilities, to the readiness of students and parents to support the implementation of health protocols in schools.

"Whether it is directly at 100 percent full capacity or in stages, of course it depends on how the evaluation results are carried out," he said, quoting Antara.

Heroe said that face-to-face learning has been eagerly awaited by students and parents alike, because it will soon be entering the exam period, both for grade promotion exams and school graduation exams.

Previously, the Head of the Yogyakarta City Youth and Sports Education Office, Budhi Asrori, said the same thing. "We will evaluate the implementation of face-to-face learning. Because it has gone down to PPKM level 3. We will see what the condition of the case last week was like," he said.

If possible, the implementation of PTM can be carried out with a greater capacity by considering various things, such as a decrease in cases and the need for students to access better learning.

"Many students and parents want face-to-face learning to resume. Be patient, we will evaluate it this week," he said.

In addition, the implementation of vaccinations for students and teachers who are already quite high in the city of Yogyakarta is also a consideration in granting face-to-face learning permits.
