Jokowi's Speech Was Full Of Irritation, Finally Touched On The Direct Reshuffle In Front Of Several Ministers

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) mentioned the cabinet reshuffle in front of a number of his ministers. This was conveyed when he gave a briefing about the proud affirmation action made in Indonesia.

In the agenda, seen a number of ministers present. These include Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno, to Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir.

Initially, the former Governor of DKI Jakarta mentioned the difficulty of buying domestic products. Jokowi then flicked a number of ministries, including the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

In fact, Jokowi asked SOE Minister Erick Thohir not to hesitate to replace the president director at state-owned companies if there are still those who do not comply with the things that have been agreed upon. One of them is to stop the use of imported products and tighten the purchase of domestic products.

"If someone doesn't comply with what we agreed on today. I have conveyed it to the Minister of SOEs, just change the president director, change. What are we doing," Jokowi said as quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Friday, March 25.

It didn't stop there, Jokowi, who looked a little angry, mentioned the cabinet reshuffle. He said that if the change of president of state-owned companies was the matter of the Minister of SOEs, then it would be his business to change the minister.

"The ministry is the same. But that's my part, the reshuffle. It's already heeeeh, I can't run like this," said Jokowi.

"It's in front of my eyes, the money is there. It's our own money, it's difficult to spend on domestic products alone, and I'm supervising it," he said.

The issue of a cabinet reshuffle is actually not a new thing and has often been rolled out recently. In fact, Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid predicts that President Jokowi will reshuffle the cabinet after Ramadan or after this year's Eid al-Fitr.

However, this cabinet reshuffle is expected to be the last. This is because President Jokowi has reshuffled his ministerial ranks five times.

"Pak Jokowi has reshuffled five times. If the President wants to do a reshuffle, this might be the last one. My guess is maybe after fasting, after Eid if there is one," Jazilul said in a written statement, Thursday yesterday.
