ACEH - The Aceh High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) team arrested a corruption suspect in the construction of the Kuala Gigieng bridge in Pidie Regency with state losses reaching Rp. 1.6 billion.

Assistant for Special Crimes at the Aceh Prosecutor's Office, R Yusuf Raharjo Wibisono, said the suspect arrested had the initials SF, who was the Deputy Director of CV PJ, the contractor implementing the bridge construction.

"The suspect SF was arrested at a coffee shop not far from the Aceh Prosecutor's Office. The arrest of the suspect was assisted by the Aceh Regional Police team. Subsequently, the suspect was deposited at the Banda Aceh Rutan in Kahju, Aceh Besar District," said Yusuf in Banda Aceh, Antara, Tuesday, March 22. .

SF along with four other people have been named suspects in the alleged corruption case in the construction of the Kuala Gigieng bridge in Simpang Tiga District, Pidie Regency, with a ceiling of IDR 1.8 billion sourced from the 2018 Aceh Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBA).

"However, in practice, the construction of the bridge was not carried out according to the contract. Based on the audit results, the state lost Rp. 1.6 billion," said R Yusuf Raharjo Wibisono.

There are also four other suspects, namely the initials FJ as the Budget User at the Aceh PUPR Service, JF as the Head of the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) Region I of the Aceh PUPR Service.

As well as KN as the Technical Implementation Officer (PPTK) at the Aceh PUPR Service, and RM as a field engineer for the Kuala Gigieng bridge construction consulting company, PT NG.

"The suspect SF was arrested for absenteeism after being called by investigators six times. Meanwhile, the other four suspects were cooperative. The detention of suspect SF was to speed up the filing so that the case could be immediately transferred to court," he said.
