KPK Alleges Romahurmuziy Meets And Agrees With Related Parties For The Management Of Special Allocation Funds And Regional Incentive Funds

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that the former chairman of the United Development Party (PPP) Romahurmuziy met with related parties during the administration of the 2017-2018 Special Allocation Fund (DAK) and Regional Incentive Fund (DID).

This allegation was later confirmed when investigators examined Romy. The investigation was carried out at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

"Muchammad Romahurmuziy, the former chairman of the PPP, was present and confirmed, among other things, regarding the alleged witness meeting with several parties in the management of DAK and DID in 2018," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri in a written statement, Tuesday, March 22.

In addition, investigators also suspect that there was a certain agreement made by Romy with related parties as a result of the meeting. However, Ali did not elaborate further on its contents.

"It is suspected that there was a certain agreement in the management referred to by the parties related to this case," he said.

Meanwhile, Romahurmuziy remained silent after being questioned by the KPK today. Not a word came out of his mouth after being examined.

As previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption in the management of DAK in 2018. This case is allegedly related to the case that ensnared the former Head of the Division of Funding Development for Housing and Settlements at the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance of the Ministry of Finance Yaya Purnomo. Yaya was sentenced to six years and six months in prison because he was proven guilty. received bribes and gratuities related to the discussion of the Special DAK and Regional Incentive Funds in eight regencies and cities. As for the development of this alleged corruption, the KPK has not yet specified who was involved.
