JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) ensures that it will continue to oversee the construction of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago. There are a number of things that will be monitored, including land preparation.

KPK chairman Firli Bahuri said that supervision of the land preparation process must be carried out. The reason is that the KPK has found indications of third party claims to land in the new state capital in East Kalimantan.

"Some of the KPK's focuses on the development of the Nusantara IKN include, among others, land preparation," Firli said in a written statement quoted on Tuesday, March 22.

"KPK found indications of occupancy and claims of third parties on lands around IKN," added the former Deputy for Enforcement of the KPK.

Not only that, supervision was also carried out because the anti-corruption commission found several other problems, such as a drastic increase in land transactions around the IKN project area to overlapping permits.

"In addition, it is related to the provision of manpower, management of state-owned assets, as well as the process of procuring goods and services as well as financing mechanisms," he said.

The KPK, continued Firli, will also provide assistance according to its duties. One of them is by reviewing the IKN Law and its regulations in order to identify potential gaps in corruption through the Corruption Risk Assessment (CRA) method.

"From the results of a temporary analysis of the IKN Law and the draft Presidential Regulation on the IKN Authority, the KPK is at least exploring three things, namely aspects of state administration, special mechanisms for procurement, and special financing facilities," Firli explained. relevant ministries/agencies. Firli said, regarding the procurement and financing mechanism, the KPK is coordinating with LKPP.

"As for land, the KPK will coordinate with the Ministry of ATR/BPN," he said.

"We hope that this assistance can encourage and improve governance accountability in every stage of the Nusantara IKN development process so that it can prevent gaps and potential corruption," said Firli.
