PKS Doesn't Want A Rain Handler In Formula E Like The Mandalika MotoGP, This Is Said By The Deputy Governor Of DKI Riza

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PKS faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Achmad Yani, does not want the implementation of Formula E in Jakarta to use the services of a rain handler like the MotoGP organizers in Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Regarding the rain handler, Deputy Governor Riza did not speak clearly. He only emphasized that the experience of holding an international scale event should be a lesson for collaboration.

“Yes, the experiences we learn all need to collaborate, synergize. Alhamdulillah, by synergizing and collaborating, we can present international events that we are proud of,” said Deputy Governor Riza to reporters, Monday, March 21.

When asked by reporters about the need for rain handlers in Formula E, Deputy Governor Riza then spoke about the season or weather when an international event was held.

"Yes, so I think it has to be adjusted to the season. If it's the rainy season, how do we manage it well? Indeed, it is our concern going forward so that international events in open spaces, hopefully in the future we can do it not in the rainy season but thank God it can go well, "said Riza answering questions about the rain handler.

As previously reported, the chairman of the PKS faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Achmad Yani, said that DKI does not need a rain handler for Formula E.

"Inviting rain handlers is irrational and Formula E does not need it. Don't (inviting rain handlers for Formula E)," Yani said when contacted, Monday, March 21.

Yani said the DKI Provincial Government could make efforts to run the event smoothly by utilizing weather modification technology. Not to forget, it was added with a prayer for the weather to be supportive when the electric car racing event was held on June 4, 2022.

"We, in modern times like this, of course we use rationality thoughts when there will be rainy weather. It means that we can use the existing modern technology methods and also by praying further," he said.
