MotoGP Mandalika 2022 Still Raining Even Though There Is A Handler, NU Management: There Are Now Taboos On The Rain Handler, It Cannot Be Uploaded On Social Media

JAKARTA - Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) figure Nadirsyah Hosen alias Gus Nadir also commented on the action of the rain handler that graced the MotoGP race at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Even though the rain handler had been in action until he entered the circuit arena, it was known that it was still raining and had delayed the start of the Mandalika MotoGP on Sunday, March 20 afternoon.

In a witty way, Gus Nadir commented that it happened because the rain handler now has taboos.

"The rain handler now has a 'prohibition': it cannot be uploaded on social media," he said on his Twitter account @na_dirs, quoted on Sunday, March 20.

Gus Nadir joked that if the handler's action in preventing rain spreads on social media, it invites other handlers to interfere. Therefore it rained in Mandalika.

"If this is violated, his work will fail. Why? Because he will be 'worked on' by other rain handlers who can't get the 'job'," he said.

If the performance of the handler to block the rain does not work, then the fault lies with netizens who spread their actions while at the Mandalika Circuit during MotoGP.

"So blame the netizens why the handler was uploaded to social media hahahaha," joked Gus Nadir.

The MotoGP race at the Mandalika Circuit was delayed due to heavy rains that flushed the area. Rain handlers were also deployed to control the weather.

The action of the female rain handler was caught on television cameras on a live broadcast. The handler can be seen walking in circles while beating bronze tools shaped like coconut shells.

What the handler did also made the MotoGP riders look entertained. Yamaha RNF rider, Andrea Dovizioso, looks smiling watching it. Even the defending champion Fabio Quartararo was seen imitating the handler's actions while smiling.

Not long after, the hashtag #Pawang was immediately trending on Twitter. As of this writing, there have been at least 17 thousand more tweets using the word "handler".
