In The Midst Of The Mandalika MotoGP Party, Hundreds Of Tourism Residential Facilities In Central Lombok Are Fully Filled

JAKARTA - As many as 300 tourism residential facilities (sarhunta) built by the government are fully filled with visitors, said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno in Sukadana village, Central Lombok regency, West Nusa Tenggara.

"Along with the Mandalika 2022 MotoGP event, the 300 sarhunta established by the government are 100 percent occupied by visitors," said Sandiaga as quoted by Antara, Sunday, March 20.

During his visit last Saturday, Sandiaga said the sarhunta managed by a resident of Sukadana Village named Lamun was one of the recipients of the Indonesia Care certification on March 11, 2022.​The Indonesia Care certification is a sign that a Sarhunta has been verified based on the principles of Hygiene, Health, and Safety. Environmental Safety and Sustainability (CHSE).

​The goal is to convince tourists who visit to guarantee the elements of cleanliness, health, safety, and environmental sustainability in the shelters in Central Lombok Regency and its surroundings. He considered that the establishment of the sarhunta and the submission of the Indonesia Care certification were policies that were right on target, right to benefit, and at the right time.

"If we build a hotel, the community will not feel the economic impact as a whole because only some of them get jobs. But if we build tourism residential facilities, then there are community houses that are renovated to become sarhunta and 300-400 jobs can be absorbed," he said.

The Head of the NTB Provincial Tourism Office, Yusron Hadi, added that the CHSE certification and the construction of this sarhunta were a tangible form of collaboration between the central government and local governments.

"We are also in the regions and in the districts/cities will use this CHSE as a standard so that all of our inns are ready to be occupied," said Yusron.

On March 12, 2022, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno handed over certificates of Indonesia Care for 300 managers of tourism residential facilities (sarhunta) located around Mandalika, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).​This certification is intended to empower the community as providers accommodation especially ahead of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia which will be held on 18-20 March 2022.
