JAKARTA - Lawyer Otto Cornelius (OC) Kaligis, convicted of bribery of the Judge and Registrar of the Medan State Administrative Court (PTUN), has been released from the Sukamiskin Correctional Institution (Lapas) on leave before release (CMB).
Head of Sukamiskin Prison Elly Yuzar said that now OC Kaligis is no longer in Sukamiskin Prison because of the CMB status since Tuesday, March 15.
"His status is already client, not WBP (prison inmates or inmates)," said Elly Yuzar in Bandung, West Java, Saturday, March 19.
Even though he was released from prison, according to him, OC Kaligis is still under the supervision of the Bandung Penitentiary (Bapas). During the surveillance, OC Kaligis could return to the prison if the case comes back.

With the CMB status, according to him, OC Kaligis is not obliged to return to Sukamiskin Prison. In addition, OC Kaligis is not prohibited from traveling outside the city.
"What is prohibited is traveling abroad, there must be a permit," he said
According to him, the senior lawyer received CMB for three months according to the last remission he received, so that the Bandung Fathers Supervisory Board would supervise for the next three months.
"If the last remission means three months, for sure he will be on leave before being released," said Elly.
