Bareskrim Polri Increases Fahrenheit's Fraudulent Investment Case For Investigation

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has upgraded the status of the alleged fraudulent investment under the guise of a trading robot Fahrenheit to investigation. In the near future there will be a suspect in this case.

"That's right, the fingerprint of the case has been raised," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Gatot Repli Handoko when confirmed, Friday, March 18.

Gatot also explained that there were actually two reports of this fraudulent investment case. First, cases that have been investigated and handled by the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes.

Then, the second case was handled by the Directorate of Cybercrime, Bareskrim Polri with a reporter named Chris Ryan. However, the status of this case is still under investigation.

With the two reports, it was decided that the handling would be unified. The Directorate of Special Economic Crimes will handle the case.

"It will be put together later, the handling is in Dittipideksus," said Gatot.

For information, the case of alleged fraudulent investment fraud was in the spotlight of Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI, Ahmad Sahroni. Through his Instagram account @ahmadsahroni88, he said there was a fraud case under the guise of investment that caused losses of up to IDR 5 trillion.

In addition, in the upload, Ahmad Sahroni also displayed snippets of images containing narratives related to the alleged parties related to the Fahrenheit application.

"There's something more sadistic. I don't know if it's true or not (is it true to 5T), this is a shame if it's true," said Sahroni.

Sahroni also asked the Police to conduct an investigation and pursue the perpetrators behind the fraudulent investment. So, the case can be investigated thoroughly.
