JAKARTA - The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo said, the location of the rice fields with pictures of his face will be used as a tourist village.

He conveyed the plan when he directly visited a rice field located in one of the villages in Ungaran, Bergas District, Semarang Regency.

"So this is actually not just a story about people planting rice, how to plant in this narrow area there is an art work that has added value. And Mas Gun (Sidik Gunawan) created a work by chance today, my face, it turned out to be combined with the type of rice in the area. here," said Ganjar in a written statement, Friday, March 18.

A farmer and member of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), Sidik Gunawan caught the attention of the lantawan presenting the art of stingray streaks with a picture of Ganjar's smiling face. He uses pari luwung rice from the black madras variety.

Ganjar explained the reason for making the rice field location a tourist village to preserve the art of stingray corek. He said the process was already underway and just being finalized.

Ganjar also asked that the crops planted in the fields were not only rice.

"It has been started, it has been created, it just needs to be developed. We just need to go into detail so we need people who organize the landscape for tourism. Then the content and this is definitely the plant, it can't be stingray rice, aka rice only. There is an interlude so that the pests are controlled," he said. .

On the other hand, Ganjar had contacted the Regent of Semarang Ngesti Nugraha to ask the Regency Government to give Pokdarwis land to develop the art of stingray in the rice fields of Semarang Regency.

"Earlier, I called Mr. Ngesti, the Regent of Semarang, so that all this land could be used. Now, we have asked Pokdarwis to manage it. We have held consultations so that there will be a serial," said Ganjar Pranowo, who is from the PDI-P.
