JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating allegations of giving money to facilitate the licensing process for a number of projects in Sidoarjo Regency.

This investigation was carried out by investigators by examining eight witnesses, including the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Sidoarjo Regency, Ahmad Zaini on Thursday, March 17 yesterday.

"Located at the Sidoarjo Police Office, the investigative team has examined a number of witnesses," said Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Enforcement, Ali Fikri in a written statement, Friday, March 18.

Apart from Ahmad Zaini, other witnesses were examined, namely the Head of DPMPTSP Sidoarjo, Ari Suryono; Head of Sidoarjo Libraries, Medi Yulianto; Sidoarjo Cooperative Secretary, A Hadi Yusuf; Director of the Sidoarjo Hospital, Atok Irawan; and Deputy Director of the Sidoarjo Hospital, Ratna Kustini.

Next, investigators also examined the Sidoarjo Regency Government official, Judi Tetrahastoto; and the former Head of the Sidoarjo procurement of goods and services, Sanadjihitu Sangadji. Of the eight witnesses, investigators studied the flow of licensing applications to the alleged flow of money to facilitate the process.

"All witnesses were present and confirmed, among others, regarding the flow of the licensing process for several work projects at the SKPD in the Sidoarjo Regency Government and the alleged flow of money for the approval of the smooth licensing process for parties related to this case," he said.
