JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has deposited Rp 2.2 billion from convicts in corruption cases. Deposits are made as a form of asset recovery and are carried out by the execution prosecutor.

"The execution prosecutor Andry Prihandono through the KPK Finance Bureau has made a deposit to the state treasury in the form of payment of fines and replacement money of Rp. 2.2 billion from the convicts," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri in a written statement, Thursday, March 17.

Ali detailed that the first convict to pay the fine and replacement money was the former Finance Director of PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Jasindo), Solihah. This payment was made based on the Corruption Court's Decision at the Central Jakarta District Court Number: 70/Pid.Sus-TPK/2021/PN. Jkt. Pst January 18, 2022.

He was sentenced to four years in prison for being proven to manipulate the activities of a fictitious agent in asset and construction insurance at BP Migas-KKKS in 2012-2014.

"The convict Solihah has paid a fine of Rp. 200 million and a replacement money of Rp. 483 million based on the Corruption Court's decision at the Central Jakarta District Court," he said.

Furthermore, another convict who also paid the fine and replacement money was Kiagus Emil Fahmy Cornain, owner of PT Ayodya Multi Sarana (AMS). Payments are made based on the Corruption Court Decision at the Central Jakarta District Court Number: 71/Pid.Sus-TPK/2021/PN. Jkt. Pst January 18, 2022.

"The convict Kiagus Emil Fahmy Cornain has paid off a fine of Rp. 200 million and a replacement money of Rp. 1.3 billion based on the Corruption Court's decision at the Central Jakarta District Court," Ali explained.

"We are gradually continuing to actively collect collections from convicts of corruption as part of optimizing the fulfillment of asset recovery resulting from corruption crimes whose cases are handled by the KPK," he concluded.
