JAKARTA - The PDI-P (Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan) Party Executive Board has inaugurated the full line of management for one of its youth wings, the Banteng Muda Indonesia (BMI), which will work until 2024.

The inauguration and taking of the oath were carried out by the Chairperson of the PDIP Executive Board for Political and Inter-Institutional Relations, Puan Maharani, at the PDIP Executive Board Office, Diponegoro Street, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday, March 17.

The inaugurated BMI ranks were present, led by Chairman, Moch Herviano, and Secretary-General, Patria Ginting.

The PDIP Secretary-General, Hasto Kristiyanto, and several PDIP Executive Board Chairmen attended the event, namely the Chairman of the PDIP Executive Board for Youth and Sports, Eriko Sotarduga, and the Chair of the PDIP Executive Board for Membership and Organization, Sukur Nababan.

Puan Maharani said that BMI must understand the meaning of "young" which is contained within them.

According to him, "young" means creative and innovative, therefore the management and cadres of BMI must be an injection of creation and innovation for PDIP as a party.

The chairman of the DPR RI also reminded that BMI must dare to go out with their creativity and innovation. BMI should not be inferior to other youth organizations. However, you must remain firm with the spirit of the party's struggle.

"You have to be confident, mentally strong, brave everywhere. Make creative events, go out and spread enthusiasm to all Indonesian youth", said Puan in a press release.

The chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives also reminded that BMI management should also encourage friendship and cooperation among all elements of the nation.

The BMI management must also remember that their duties are not just electoral tasks in the sense of winning parties in elections.

"But we also have an ideological task to realize the ideals of the founding father of the nation Bung Karno. And don't forget our duty to maintain the integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia", said Puan.

On this occasion, the Secretary-General of the Executive Board PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto also gave directions to the BMI Management.

Hasto requested that the inaugurated BMI Executive Board Management use the trust of General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri as well as possible. With every day carrying out movements in the community, especially young Indonesians.

"Don't waste Megawati's trust with no day without movement, no day without activities that create added value, no day without activities that build hope for young Indonesians to become future leaders of Indonesia through Bull Young Indonesia", said Hasto.
