Pidie Regent Holds Alternative Medicine Through The Sand Grave Method, Here's The Action

BANDA ACEH - An unusual alternative medicine action carried out by burying oneself with sand has gone viral on social media, because the practice was carried out by a regent in Pidie Regency.

"Traditional medicine by burying oneself using soil and several other ingredients is the result of my studies from previous Acehnese," said Pidie Regent Roni Ahmad as reported by Antara, Wednesday, March 16.

Roni Ahmad explained that the traditional Acehnese used to bury themselves on the beach using black and gray sand as raw materials.

According to him, the sand comes from nature which is very good and has been trusted from ancient times before knowing drugs that have been mixed with chemicals.

Roni Ahmad, who is familiarly called Abusyik, said that the idea emerged from the idea of burying workers in his fertilizer processing plant who complained about being unwell, like a video that went viral in cyberspace.

"Workers at the fertilizer processing plant asked for permission to go home from work because their bodies were feverish, so I just told them to lie down and then I covered them with soil around my fertilizer business," said Abusyik.

After being buried in the ground for several hours, they said his body was starting to feel good again and wanted to continue working.

Abusyik added that he dropped out yesterday because he was tired of participating in many activities in Banda Aceh. He immediately went home and did the same thing as his employees.

"Since Abusyik's alternative medicine went viral, six people, including myself, have benefited from the treatment by being buried in the soil. Humans basically come from the soil, so it's only natural that this treatment is carried out," said Abusyik.
