Anies: IKN Nusantara Accelerates Jakarta To Become A Global City Of The World

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan assesses that the relocation of the capital city to the archipelago, East Kalimantan provides an opportunity for Jakarta to accelerate development into a global world city.

He conveyed this after the procession of land and water unification led by President Joko Widodo at IKN Nusantara.

"For us, in Jakarta, this must be seen as an opportunity. An opportunity to further accelerate development in Jakarta as a global world city, a global city that is on par with other global cities," Anies said in the Presidential Secretariat's Youtube show, Monday, March 14.

According to Anies, the global city of the world that Jakarta will achieve, will not only focus on the progress of the economic aspect, but also on the cultural, social, health and education aspects that are developed.

Meanwhile, Anies continued, the main elements of a global city are population mobility based on public transportation and environmentally friendly. In addition, there are health facilities to international standard educational facilities.

"Then, it has a global appeal of talent so that the productivity that occurs in this city can be felt the benefits both for Indonesia and at the global level," said Anies.

For information, the land and water unification procession brought by 34 governors in the Nusantara Kilometer Zero Point (IKN) area of the National Capital City in East Kalimantan was carried out today, Monday, March 14.

The event was started by singing the national anthem Indonesia Raya together. Furthermore, Jokowi was accompanied by the Governor of East Kalimantan, Isran Noor, who received land and water from the governors and then poured it into Bejana Nusantara.
