The DKI Provincial Government Says There Is A Natural Place With The Potential To Become New Tourism On Thousand Islands, Where?

JAKARTA - Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Andhika Permata said there are still a number of natural places in the Thousand Islands that have the potential to be developed into new tourism attractions.

Andhika, quoted by Antara, Friday, March 11, said that natural places including nemo fish cultivation, turtle cultivation, mangrove nurseries, ancient whale museum, and urban farming development on Tidung Kecil Island, have the potential to be developed as new ecotourism locations.

Long Island, where an airport was originally planned to be built, has the potential to have a new religious tourism location, because there is the tomb of Sultan Maulana Mahmud Zakaria, who is one of the nobles of the Banten sultanate.

Then, on Pulau Macan, one of the best islands in the Thousand Islands, the environment has a unique and natural segmentation.

Andhika said that his party will hold massive promotional activities for tourism in the Thousand Islands, so that the economy of the people in DKI Jakarta, especially in the Thousand Islands, can recover.

"In the near future, several activities have been prepared while still adjusting the PPKM situation, including Aquathlon and Water Sports on Tidung Island," he continued.

Previously, the Regent of the Thousand Islands, Junaedi, and a number of officers from the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency conducted explorations to a number of natural locations in the Thousand Islands that were considered to have the potential to be managed as new tourist attractions.

"This is part of a small attraction, one of the potential islands in the Thousand Islands, which is ready to be promoted as a new tourist location for DKI Jakarta," said Junaedi.

According to Junaedi, the local government is also preparing a number of these locations, such as on Pulau Panjang, where tombs are being renovated, construction of mosques, and road access to sacred tombs, which will be used as a religious tour.
