"Last night I stayed at the house of Zivora's mother, a boarding house mother and it was great to be a kindergarten teacher in a suburban area," said Nadiem in Tarakan, quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 10.

He said Zivora was a driving teacher in the outskirts of Tarakan and heard firsthand about the challenges of being a teacher in the area.

"All these motivating teachers hope to become great school principals and that is the goal, the mission of the driving teachers, not only to be the best teachers, more importantly to be the best change leaders and that's the key," said Nadiem.

Nadiem conveyed to all regional heads and the Head of the Education Office that the driving teacher would not have a very big impact if the driving teacher was not made the principal of schools throughout Indonesia.

"Because that's where the wheel of change will be achieved. I always say that all changes in freedom of learning cannot be achieved by the minister, director general or head of service, everything starts and ends in this school, namely the principal and the teachers," said Nadiem.

During his first working visit to Tarakan, the Minister of Education and Technology did not stay at the hotel, he preferred to stay at the house of Zivora, one of the kindergarten teachers in North Tarakan District. A very simple house that Nadiem chose.

Zivora, did not expect that his simple house would be visited by the number one person in the Ministry of Education and Culture. Even sleep last night in one of the rooms of his house.

Zivora was shocked and did not think that the person who came to her house was the Minister of Education and Culture.
