Canceled Today, Driver Claims Session For Vanessa Angel Tubagus Jody Held Next Week

JOMBANG - The trial with the agenda of the demands of the defendant in the case of the deadly accident of artist Vanessa Angel, Tubagus Muhammad Joddy, was canceled by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Jombang District Attorney. The reason is that the letter of claim is not yet ready, because it is still in the process of being drafted.

"Please, Your Honor, our demands are in the process of being drafted, we ask for a week's delay," said Public Prosecutor Adi Prasetyo, in a trial held at the Jombang District Court, Thursday, March 10.

Chairman of the Panel of Judges, Bambang Setyawan, gave the opportunity to postpone. However, the delay should not be more than one week, in order to match the detention period of the accused Tubagus Joddy.

"One week, yes, but there will be no further delay. I will schedule it so that it can fit in time with the detention period, because the defendant must also be given certainty," said Judge Bambang.

The judge then closed the trial and resumed next week with the same agenda, namely prosecution.

"Today, the agenda for the demands has not been read out. It will be read out later on Thursday (17/3) next week. Please be patient, after that there will be a plea for your defense. The trial is over and postponed," concluded Judge Bambang.

Separately, Eko Wahyudi, the attorney for the defendant Tubagus Joddy admitted that he had no problem with the postponement of the trial with the agenda of the defendant's demands. He said delaying the trial agenda was a common thing.

"We are waiting for what the demands will be and after that we will make a plea agreement," said Eko.

Artist Vanessa Angel and her husband Febri Andriansyah alias Bibi died in a single accident on the Jombang Toll Road KM 672+300 entering Pucangsimo Village, BandarKedungmulyo District, Thursday (4/11/2021) afternoon.
