PURWOREJO - The government is targeting payments for the replacement of land profits for residents of Wadas Village, Bener District, Purworejo Regency, to be paid immediately a week before Eid with a fantastic value.

Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) of Purworejo Regency, Andri Kristanto, said that the government has targeted the payment for land replacement for the Bener Dam construction project, including the Quarry Wadas land, which will be realized a week before Eid al-Fitr, May 2.

"The value is guaranteed to benefit the residents because the land acquisition is carried out by the government and a careful and professional assessment of the compensation is carried out. It is clearly different from providing compensation for mining land as is done by the private sector. It can be compared later," said Andri.

Andri explained that the inventory and identification stages had been completed on 8-10 February.

"The results of the measurements and calculations for planting and growing and building the results were also announced on February 28," said Andri, based on information received on Thursday, March 10.

Andri also said that from this activity an inventory and identification of 318 plots of Quarry land in Wadas Village had been carried out. However, after being evaluated, it became 303 fields covering an area of 53 hectares.

He said, the process of signing the legal documents for the inventory and identification of Quarry land parcels had been carried out in 2 stages with the result that the number of land parcels that had been signed was 297 land parcels.

"The land owners are given time to correct the data for 14 days, if the data is correct, all land area calculations and others are completed, the results are submitted to the Public Appraisal Service Office (KJPP) team. Furthermore, the results of the KJPP assessment will be submitted to BPN and followed up with deliberation," explained Andri.

Andri said that the land parcels that had been assessed were then sent to BBWS SO. After that, it is sent to the State Asset Management Institute (LMAN) for payment.

The Head of the Water Resources Network Implementation Division of BBWS SO Yogyakarta, Yosiandi Rudi Wicaksono explained that the land acquisition in Wadas is targeted for completion in June 2023.

According to him, the land acquisition target for the Quarry project in Wadas village is 124 hectares, currently measuring 53 hectares.

According to him, this amount is not sufficient for the material needs for the construction of the Bener Dam.

Currently, his party is still waiting for a decision from the government whether a new location is needed or there are other policies to meet the needs of the Bener Dam andesite stone material.

The acceleration of the process is expected to eliminate the public's perception that the alleged land residents in Wadas have not been paid for.

"It is hoped that the community will not be easily swayed by the issue that says there is land grabbing in Wadas or that the land used by residents will not receive compensation. I make sure (compensation) exists and will be paid by the government. The value is very beneficial for the residents," he said.

He added that the Bener Dam project is a national strategic project that will bring great benefits to the residents of Purworejo and its surroundings.

"During construction, there will be labor-intensive projects. After it is finished, there will be power plants, irrigation for irrigation purposes that are more organized and so on. The economy of residents can also increase because this area is also projected to become a tourist destination," he explained.
