Health Office: Positive For COVID-19 Lampung Adds 499 People, 15 Reportedly Died

LAMPUNG - The Lampung Provincial Health Office (Dinkes) noted that there had been an addition of 499 people who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 and an additional 15 cases died in the area.

"There are 499 additional confirmed positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 68,902 from the previous 68,453 cases," said Head of the Lampung Provincial Health Office, Reihana in a written statement in Bandarlampung, Antara, Wednesday, March 9.

He explained that the addition of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 came from 14 districts and cities in Lampung Province. "The addition is in Bandarlampung City as many as 67 people, Metro City 11 people, Pringsewu Regency 45 people, Pesawaran 36 people, and Mesuji as many as 24 people," he said.

He continued, in Tanggamus Regency there were 36 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19, 31 cases in North Lampung, 39 cases in Central Lampung, 41 cases in South Lampung.

"Then in Waykanan Regency 10 people, East Lampung 59 people, West Lampung 19 people, Tulang Bawang 15 people, and Tulang Bawang Barat there are 16 people," he said.

Meanwhile, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 has increased by 15 cases, bringing a total of 3,996 deaths.

"In detail, there are 1 death cases in Tanggamus Regency, 5 people in East Lampung, 4 people in Central Lampung, 1 person in Bandar Lampung City, 3 people in Metro and 1 person in Pringsewu," he said.

According to him, the number of recovered cases has increased by 669 people, bringing the cumulative total to 56,889 people who have recovered.

"For suspected cases, 3 new cases have been added and 158 people are being monitored, bringing a total of 161 suspected cases," he said.

With this addition, the community is expected to continue to implement health protocols consistently.
