BOYOLALI - Four villages in Boyolali Regency, Central Java are ready to hold interim village head elections (pilkades) through village deliberations (musdes) simultaneously in their respective regions, Thursday, March 10.

"There are four villages in Boyolali that hold interim village elections because the position of the village head was vacant after the person concerned died," said Head of the Boyolali Regency Community and Village Empowerment Service (Dispermasdes) Yulius Bagus Triyanto, Antara, Wednesday, March 9.

For the smooth implementation of village governance, it is necessary to have inter-temporal pilkades through the Musdes. The four villages include Karangjati in Wonosegoro District which has two candidates, Pelemrejo Village in Andong which also has two candidates, Pulutan Village in Nogosari, and Dibal Village in Ngemplak, each of which has three village head candidates.

According to him, because it is still during the COVID-19 pandemic, its implementation will be carried out by implementing strict health protocols, including the number of attendees will be limited to 50 percent of the room's capacity.

In addition, said Yulius, the implementation of inter-temporal village elections through village meetings must follow the applicable provisions, namely with a maximum limit of 100 participants.

"Musdes meetings are determined by acclamation. If there are those who disagree, it will be continued by voting. Musdes participants vary, namely there are representatives from the village deliberative body (BPD) with village officials, community leaders in the field of religion, and education leaders there are 10 elements ," he said.

Although there have been no obstacles in the preparation, he hopes that the elected village heads will be able to maintain a conducive environment and have the mandate to bring progress to their respective villages.

Meanwhile, the Head of Nogosari Sub-district, Joko Prihanto, hopes that the implementation of these activities can run smoothly without any problems.

"All of the stages are in accordance with the rules and are more humane. We can further socialize the procedure for the Pilkades in a good way and implement it properly so that conditions remain conducive," he said.
