Four Suspects In The League 3 Match Fixing Case Detained At The East Java Regional Police, One Suspect Hasn't Been

SURABAYA - Four of the five suspects for match-fixing and bribery of the East Java Zone 3 Zone have been detained at the East Java Police Headquarters. Currently, there is still one other suspect who has not been arrested.

"Currently there are a total of four suspects who have been detained," said Head of Sub-Directorate I Kamneg Ditreskrimum Polda East Java, AKBP Ahmad Taufiqurrahman, confirmed, Wednesday, March 9.

However, Taufiq did not reveal in detail when the four suspects were detained. Taufiq only said that they were detained together with Bambang Suryo on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.

"BS has also been detained along with three other suspects," he said.

Bambang himself was detained after undergoing examination as a suspect on Tuesday. During the examination, Bambang was accompanied by his lawyer, Agustian Siagian.

Bambang admitted that he brought a number of files for additional examination, one of which was a list of the names of the alleged perpetrators involved in fixing the score. "There are names of people who are suspected of being the perpetrators, starting from the federation, there are clubs, there are all of them," said Bambang.

In this case, the East Java Regional Police not only named Bambang as the sole suspect.

There are four other suspects, namely Dimas Yopi Perwira Nusa, Imam, Ferry Afrianto, and Heri Pras. The five have been named suspects since last February. They were charged with Article 2 of the Anti-Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.
